A Little Bit About Us

I know just how important it was for me to learn as much as I could when I first was looking for a home business.  I needed to feel comfortable with the decision I made.  Not just for myself but for my family as well.  It needed to work for all of us.  I'd like to share some of my story in hopes that it will encourage you as it has others.

Let me first start by introducing myself.  My name is Debbie Emery and I am married to my high school sweetheart, and a mom to 4 wonderful children that just seem to be growing up faster than I ever thought possible.  It seems like just yesterday they were in diapers and I was chasing them around.  But now my oldest is 22, my twin boys are 19 and in college and my youngest and only daughter is in her first year of high school. 

My story goes back many years because I have always been interested in direct sales and MLM.  I loved a challenge as well as contests, but best of all I loved the fact that I was able to be at home and raise my kids instead of putting them in daycare.  When the twins were younger, they were sick quite frequently and to this day, I do not know of any employer that would allow you to be able to go to work when you could get there, or take off because the kids are sick. 

I got myself into a home party plan company.  I'll never forget the excitement I felt as I won a free trip to Marco Island.  One full of pampering and relaxation.  I won tons of free products, and also a brand new home computer!  Now that is something to get excited about!  Another trip I also won was one to Atlantis.  I actually could go on and on.  The point is, is that I had a prize in front of me, something I wanted very badly, and I worked my tail off to get them! 

As much as I loved doing in home parties, and trust me I absolutely loved getting to know people and just getting out of the house, but it all quickly started taking away so much time from my family.  Something that I did not want, nor did I think would ever happen. It came to the point in my life that I realized that this was not what I was looking for. 

When the twins were little, I went back to school and became a nurse.  It was tough, but if you set your mind to something, I believe whole heartedly that you can accomplish anything!   A few years after I began working as a nurse, I injured my neck.  Needless to say, I ended up having 2 different surgeries and now have a cage and a plate in my neck.  While I knew that I couldn't go back to what I was doing, I knew that there must be something out there that I could do.  What I needed to find was something that I could do from home.  Something that allowed me to be my own boss and work as I could, and was able. 

I began doing my research online.  The funny thing was, that right in front of me was my answer to exactly what I had been looking for.  A candle!  My love for candles was going to pay off!  I have always been one that loves a good bargain, however the quality of the product was extremely important.  I had heard all the rave of the new types of candles and started looking into this even further.  I contacted several candle companies and requested a sample be sent so that I could try them all.  I even purchased some candles from some companies I had never heard of. 

I received some candles from a distributor who was part of Scent-Sations, Inc. Never in my entire life had I smelled a candle that had so much fragrance, and this fragrance lasted from the top all the way to the bottom!  One other thing I had never seen before was a candle that burned so clean! There was no black soot around the edges of the glass at all.  The candle burned evenly all the way across and didn't tunnel!  Was this all for real?  It was, and it was simply amazing! 

Now it was time to research the company that had captured my interest!  I was reading and reading.  The company website just gave a wealth of information. With my kids being in school, it was important to know that I'd be home at night with them and that no matter if there were activities during or after school, I knew that I would always be able to be there.  I did not want another home party plan company.  This was important to me.  And I found it!  A company that did not require home parties!  A company that I could purchase top quality candles from at wholesale prices!  A company that gives everyone the opportunity to make money the very same day you begin!  An amazing compensation plan! This was it!  The perfect home business for me!  And it cost under $50 to get started!
